Another important benefit is that this payment plan offers the benefit of receiving money without having to file tax returns each year. The benefits from this program are not subject to income tax.
Medical assessments and disability payments are provided by employers or workers who contract with doctors and other health care services. Some employees and employers provide medical assessments while others receive payments. These are called “quasi-medical assignments”.

Most of these assignments are for work-related injuries or illnesses, like back pain or asthma.
The Insurance Assignment of Benefits is a form of insurance for many employees who have medical expenses for a period of time. The types of Pensions available vary by state and industry. Some states, like California, offer permanent insurance assistance or Disability Insurance (DI) for their workers.
In an Insurance Assignment of Benefits, the employer or company pays the insurance carrier, which assigns the insurance amount to the person that has filed for an insurance benefit claim for compensation. The person receiving the insurance benefit is known as the beneficiary of the Insurance Assignment of Benefits.
With an Insurance Assignment of Benefits, disability compensation becomes the beneficiaries of the same. The beneficiary of a Permanent Insurance Assistance or DI benefit plan is the individual. This is sometimes referred to as PIP in some states.
